Wild Atlantic Cycling was founded by Paul Kennedy, a keen cyclist from the coastal town of Bangor, County Down. Paul is a member of North Down Cycling Club as well as a software professional. Having cycled in many countries, Paul still believes the west coast of Ireland truly is hard to beat!

He says:

I decided to start Wild Atlantic Cycling because the west coast of Ireland really is a unique place. A stunning variety of landscapes, lively pubs and Irish culture make this a fascinating place for a cycling holiday. Few places provide such a richness where traditional culture, music and hospitality sit alongside a modern vibe and confidence. My background is in Software Engineering. Where is the common thread? I have found the skills and experience as a Senior Project Manager  are very relevant to organising cycling holidays. Customer communication, attention to detail and careful planning are crucial to a memorable experience. Nothing enthuses me more than happy customers.

Paul was recently 'on air' with Alastair McKenzie's 'Travel Coffee Break, (opens in new window) talking about cycling tourism on the Irish west coast. Alastair hosts his weekly broadcast for travel writers, travel PRs and travel industry folk to gather online and chat about what's happening in travel & tourism. It is live every Wednesday at 1400 UK time. From eco-tourism to aviation ... well worth dropping in to!
