Days vary, but generally the route has some climbs of medium difficulty. You will need to ensure you are fit enough to complete the distance and climbing.  This Portugal cycle tour is suitable for our ACTIVE Riders. A question we get asked more and more! How far an Electric-assist bike will get you depends on the level of assist, type of terrain you're riding and your weight. E-bikes have opened up a world of cycling to a wider audience. However not all types of E-bikes are suitable for all our tours. Given the daily distance and climbing on our AVID tours, E-bikes are ordinarily not suitable. However, if you have ridden for many years on a regular road bike and now simply seek a little extra assistance on some of the tougher climbs, then we won’t discourage. The type of E-bike suitable would be an Electric Road Bike with dropped handlebars such as the one in this picture. By contrast, Electric Hybrid Bikes are often heavy with weighty frames and batteries. They don’t usually fit well in our vans or on our bike racks either! read more read less
